Divorce Attorney Kim M. Ciesinski Establishes New Practice "ADR Law"
Garden City, NY – October 2017 – Kim M. Ciesinski, Esq., a leading practitioner in divorce and family law, announces that she has established a firm focusing on ADR (Alternative Divorce Resolution) Law. The new Garden City based law firm focuses its practice on collaborative divorce, mediation, and negotiated settlement. The firm offers its clients expertise in all aspects of divorce and family law matters, including divorce, custody, parenting schedules, support, equitable distribution, pre- and postnuptial agreements, and post-judgment proceedings.
“The non-adversarial process options included in ADR Law offers Long Island couples the opportunity to transform their families in a private and dignified process void of the high emotional and financial costs associated with divorce litigation,” said Ms. Ciesinski. “I believe that divorce should be a process of restructuring the financial and parental aspects of a family unit, with as little emotional and financial trauma as possible. I strive to provide my clients with a healthy transition from nuclear to bi-nuclear family while addressing all legal aspects of divorce.”
The process options of collaborative divorce, mediation, and negotiated settlement are cooperative alternatives to adversarial litigation. A non-adversarial approach to divorce ensures that each party’s interests are heard, understood, and acknowledged in order to achieve a fair settlement that is personalized for their family, finances and future.
To coincide with the opening of the new firm, Ms. Ciesinski has launched a new website, www.ADRLawNY.com, which provides in-depth information about the firm’s mission, services, and recognitions.
An advocate for redefining the destructive nature of divorce, Ms. Ciesinski is certified in mediation from the Ackerman Institute for the Family and is highly trained in Collaborative Interdisciplinary Practice from the New York Association of Collaborative Professionals. Previously, Ms. Ciesinski was a founding partner of Schwartz & Ciesinski LLP, a divorce and family law firm in Garden City.
Ms. Ciesinski serves on the Advisory Board for The Center for Children, Families and the Law at Hofstra Law School. She is also a Special Master for the Nassau County Supreme Court and is appointed by Judges to assist in resolving highly contentious matrimonial cases before trial. She is a member of the Nassau County, Suffolk County, New York State, and NY Women’s Bar Associations, as well as the New York State Association of Collaborative Professionals and the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals.
